I’m Matthew Fox, partner at FoxPowerIT and a lifelong technology enthusiast. I’ve spent years working in IT, starting out in an internal IT department where I eventually became responsible for technology for an organization of more than 70 employees. From there, I worked with several managed service providers before starting FoxPowerIT.

More recently, FoxPowerIT joined forces with Sean Rogers and Distinctive Computer Solutions. We formed a new company together while keeping the FoxPowerIT name and brand, and today Sean and I work as partners to continue growing the business and serving our clients.

I’ve always been fascinated by figuring out how things work, making them more efficient, and solving problems. That mindset has followed me throughout my career and is a big part of how I approach IT today. I believe good technology should make running a business easier, not more complicated. I also put a huge emphasis on communication, documentation, honesty, and treating people the way I’d want to be treated.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so owning and building a business has always felt like a natural path for me. One of my biggest goals with FoxPowerIT is to build a company that takes great care of both its clients and its employees and gives people an opportunity to build a genuinely good life and career.

Outside of work, I live in Glastonbury with my wife, Rena, our two kids, and our Siberian cat, Atlas. I’m into disc golf, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, cars and motorcycles, football and basketball, concerts, comedy shows, movies, and pretty much anything that gives me an excuse to have some fun.

At the end of the day, I try to approach both business and life with persistence, humor, honesty, humility, and a genuine desire to help people.
